Kings Sale - The NBA Board of Governor's met Wednesday and voted to deny relocation of the Sacramento Kings to Seattle. It now appears that a deal has been struck between the Maloofs and the Vivek Partnership to sell the team to the new ownership group. Mayor Kevin Johnson is holding a press conference at 10 a.m. this morning to "announce Sacramento's victory" and we had Mark Friedman booked yesterday afternoon for today's show, but he had to cancel due to an emergency ownership meeting at 10 a.m.
Capitol Chat - In this week's Capitol Chat, Reporter Katie Orr joins us to talk about reaction to Governor Brown's May Budget Revision and bring us up to date on other issues happening at the Capitol this week, including Prop. 13 and the TRUST Act.
"Next Fall" - A play chronicling the five-year relationship of a gay couple navigating their way through a health-care system that doesn't always afford them the same rights as other couples is now playing at Resurrection Theatre. When an accident changes everything for Luka and Adam, it's humor and honesty that helps them deal with the trials they have to traverse. Director Benjamin T Ismail and castmembers Kellie Yvonne Raines and Rob August joins us in studio to talk about the play.
Susie Glaze and the Hilonesome Band - Susie Glaze and the Hilonesome Band describe their music as Newgrass Americana Folk Fusion." As you might imagine from that description, the Los Angeles-based quintet blurs the line between bluegrass, folk and Americana, although most people would probably be hard-pressed to define the separating lines between the styles. The band has just released a new album, "White Swan," and is performing Friday, May 17 at the Palms Playhouse in Winters.
